Bob and Pat , Chris's parents, posted this note today to let folks know of ways they can help during this time. Bob wrote the following:
So many of you have asked how you can help and I've come up with a way.

Cards and notes are all wonderful....don't expect a reply but know that as they have time and emotional energy, they will open them and know of your love and prayers.AND, if you have the means, why not stick a gift card in the envelope to one of these businesses that are nearby..whether it is to a store that you know that they will be buying all of the little things a different house needs or to a carry-out restaurant where Chris can pickup supper on the way home from church. Just wanted to send my love. Please tell Carrie and her lovely family how much I think about them in this difficult time and I hope that all will get better soon. Courage! and nothing more than LOVE. That's all one can do, even when you don't see it, hold on.
